Agnes’ one-woman show If You’re Happy and You Know It – Take This Survey is a one hour spoken word show about searching for happiness in strange and scientific places. It won the Best Wellbeing Show Award and came third in the category of Best Spoken Word Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (PBH). Agnes spent 2015 living according to current happiness research – and then wrote a show about it. An extract from the show became a TED talk (you can see it here) and she is currently crowd funding to make the full show available online (you can help her here).

SORRY I DON’T SPEAK CULTURE

Sorry I Don’t Speak Culture is Agnes’ first one-hour spoken word show. It premiered in 2014 and won the Best International Spoken Word Show Award (PBH). The show is about life’s big S’s: For some reason, everything comes down to the letter S. Agnes doesn’t Speak culture. Not in Scotland, not in South Africa, and nowadays, not in Sweden either. But she does Spit and Slam about it. On a spoken word journey through two languages, changing senses of home and comedic confusions of identity, Agnes Török Spoken Words her way through culture clashes of Sensuality, Sickness, Smiles and Solidarity.
